The 40AH models are only available in black, blue, silver and purple.
The wings are always black. All Sur-Rons are already covered with the orange stickers, which you can remove yourself if you want. The Sur-Rons are delivered with off-road tires.

Current delivery time if you order now: approx. 1-2 weeks!

If delivered by a freight company, your Sur-Ron will not arrive fully assembled  in a box. The handlebars and front wheel still need to be mounted. If you pick up your Sur-Ron from our shop, we will assemble it for you completely ready to ride.

Classified as a 50cc bike with a top speed of 45km/h, the SUR-RON FIREFLY can also be driven with a car or class M driving license.

This is the current model 40AH. The manufacturer reserves the right to make small changes to the model. Design and equipment features may differ slightly from the images. At the moment, almost everyone who calls us wants the street version with X-controller because of its well-known advantages. The advantages of the X-controller are (in contrast to the Sur-Ron without the X-controller): – adjustable recuperation, i.e. energy recovery = longer range – more harmonious throttle response thanks to sine control – programmable X-controller, so you can, for example, switch off the throttle interruption when the brake lever is operated (without switching off the brake light), for example to practice wheelies. This gives you all the options with the street version with X-controller. And by disconnecting the cable, the throttle is removed and you have full power.

Although the general importer, who supplies Germany and Austria exclusively until April 2020, has always emphasized that the street version with X-Controller is not legal, it is.
This is because the X-Controller street version does not have more power than the version with a normal controller. You can see this from the COC papers, it says 2.04kW for both versions, so both have the same amount of power and both are legal. If someone claims to have a legal X-Controller street version that has more power, that is wrong. Ask to see the papers.
Up to 6KW is only peak power, permanent power is 2KW, and 3KW de-throttled when the cable is disconnected.
The difference with the X-Controller is the adjustable recuperation, i.e. the recovery of energy when rolling, which gives more range and the slightly more harmonious throttle response. The X-Controller variant is a little more expensive, but you save a lot of money with the finished, legal X-Controller variant from the factory than if you take a normal version and install an X-Controller for 599 euros, because then it would still be illegal.
Of course, you cannot legally drive the X-Controller version much faster off-road without the throttle because the cable is cut.

The Sur-Ron Firefly is homologated in the L1e-B registration class (“two-wheeled moped” – equivalent to a 50 cc petrol motorcycle) and is delivered with all the equipment necessary for use on the road. A driving license is required, at least class AM (depending on the country, from 15 or 16 years of age), but the Firefly can also be driven on the road with a class B driving license.
